As you all already know, we had our “grand” (soft) opening on Monday and it was a great success due to the huge turnout. Many big names partook in the all-day clinics along with our regular members. All 3 of our head-instructors were in full-force and as such the Sun Sentinel stopped by to cover our opening. Greg Jones, our head of wrestling, also made his debut on the mat and held a very intense, all-pro seminar covering grappling and wrestling.
Additionally, as some of you might have seen, we are coming out with our clothing line that will be suited for working out as well. That is still in the works but once we launch it, we will have all sorts of HK365 merchandise made and available for sale. However, for now, if you see a Hard Knocks 365 t-shirt, shoot us an email! You might just win one if it’s your lucky day.
In fighting news, two of our Hooft-kickboxing instructors, Demarques Johnson and Tyler Ray will be fighting in Pembroke Pines and South Dakota, respectively. Be sure to catch their fights on fight-pass and give them all the support you can! Also, our HK-365 family member Danny Roberts knocked out Bobby Nash over the weekend at UFC Fight Night 113 in Glasgow, under the teachings of Henri Hooft.
Our first week of official operations was a success, and now with our mission underway, we’ve got a lot of work to do. If you’ve seen us, or heard about us, ask about us. Feel free to stop by any time at our facility located in Fort Lauderdale, even it’s just to swing by and chat. We work hard but play hard too.
On a last note, our XPE classes are filling up, so be sure to get in touch if you’re interested!
Each offseason these pros use their vacation time to push their bodies to get ready for training camp. It’s easy to criticize players for their performance, pay and conditioning, but how many of us could realistically do what they do? Well….this is my attempt.
Hard Knocks 365 (HK365), an all-access fitness training center, announced it’s open for business at Xtreme Action Park, South Florida’s premier indoor entertainment complex off Powerline Road in North Fort Lauderdale.
Within the walls of the 30,000-square-foot facility there is an indoor field turf, soccer field (coming soon), two fully-sized basketball courts, heavy bags, fully-equipped weight room, 4,500 square feet of matting for combat training, men’s and women’s locker rooms, showers, and more.
The venue has three core functions; sports performance training (XPE Sports), combat training (kickboxing and Brazilian jiu jitsu) and basketball (House of Hoops 365). With this instilled variety, there is something for everyone under the Hard Knocks 365 roof.
The gym’s already existing roster of professional athletes includes MMA fighters Michael Johnson, Robbie Lawler, Volkan Oezdemir and Michael Chandler, as well as NFL players like Darrelle Revis, Anquan Boldin, Mark Ingram, Pierre Garçon and Byron Maxwell. Located inside of Xtreme Action Park, the largest gaming venue in South Florida and now offers summer camp in fort lauderdale for kids.
A group of South Florida high school students got a chance of the lifetime Wednesday – a workout session with a NFL star and Super Bowl champion who grew up in their same hometown.
Students from Pahokee High School made their way down to Fort Lauderdale to workout with Anquan Boldin. The South Florida native, who won a national championship at Florida State and a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens, is giving back to his hometown and hoping to expand the educational and life opportunities for underprivileged children in his Palm Beach County hometown.
“It’s just giving them an opportunity to see different things,” Boldin said. “To be able to come and workout with guys they see on Sundays, guys they look up to and get advice from them.”
Boldin wasn’t alone, as Pro Bowler Darrelle Revis was among those working out with the young men at Hard Knocks 365, a premier facility that trains top athletes in several sports. Owner Tony Villani says helping young men is in the DNA of Boldin, who was award the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award in 2015 for his work both on and off the field.

A long and arduous week but a productive one as always in the end. We made some real headway in our goal to be the nation’s ultimate training center yet again by adding the finishing touches to our offices and raising the aesthetics of our facility including desks, decals, computers, and more. We’ve also adorned the inside of our venue with some “inspiration” to empower all our athletes. On Saturday, we will commence polishing of our floors to give it that Hard Knocks 365 luster.
The title of this blogpost couldn’t be cheesier but it also couldn’t be truer. Our grand opening is right around the corner (this Monday, July 17th) and we really feel like we’re on cloud 9. If you’re in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton/West Palm Beach area you definitely need to swing by to see what we’re all about. You know what? Even if you’re not in the area, make the long drive or the flight and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Our head coaches and their instructors will be hosting free (yes, free) clinics and “seminars” to give you a little taste of what Hard Knocks 365 is all about.
There will be various VIP’s in attendance including the mayor of Fort Lauderdale and many high-profile disciples of our head-coaches whom you’ll be able to meet and greet. Also don’t forget that our grand-opening is in conjunction with our adjacent sister-venue, Xtreme Action Park. Xtreme will also be offering many giveaways and prizes due to the 17th being their 2-year anniversary, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held
Beyond the 17th, all 3 of our programs will be in full force and you’ll be able to attend any one you desire, or all 3 if you’re feeling up to the task. Don’t forget to call 954-771-0365 or email email@example.com for any inquiries. Or if you just want to check out our almost-finished digs, swing by! We’re at 5300 Powerline Road, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33309, right next to Xtreme Action Park.
See you on Monday!

Hard Knocks 365 will also include a medical/sports rehab and recovery facility under the direction of XPE’s Medical Director, Dr. Kevin Christie.
“In competitive sports, there is a real need to make sure that we are treating these amateur and pro athletes with the ability to play at their best,” says Tony Villani, head coach of XPE Sports. “And now, we’re happy to be a part of this endeavor and to offer our core XPE adult training programs to the general population, whereas before it was only available to aspiring professional athletes”.

Another busy yet monumental week for Hard Knocks 365. There were tons of moving parts in play but as always we pulled through and moved forward.
First and foremost, we are making such monumental waves that Hard Knocks 365 is going to be featured in the Miami Herald (click here to download) and WFLX.com (click here to download). Our official press release is being distributed and as such we are poised to reach global audiences. Our cause and resolve has never been stronger and it will continue to grow as we approach our grand opening. Which leads me to my next point…
Don’t forget our grand opening is on the 17th of July at our location at 5300 Powerline Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33309. As mentioned in previous blogs, it will be an eventful night of cocktails and meet-and-greets, but don’t forget all 3 head coaches will be giving seminars/clinics for free. So if you want to get a taste of what’s to come at Hard Knocks 365, mark your calendars.
We’ve also begun to build out and finish our offices in which our administrative staff will be sitting in. This has been yet another imperative piece of this moving puzzle and with its completion we move closer and closer to full functionality.
In bigger news, Darrelle Revis and some of his peers have made Hard Knocks 365 their “fitness home” under Tony Villani’s guidance via his XPE methods. From fitness to conditioning to basketball, they’ve been at it day and night to reach their physical peaks.
Our own Henri Hooft, head-instructor of his eponymous “H-Kickboxing”, took off to Las Vegas as he is training Michael “The Menace” Johnson for his upcoming bout against Justin Gaethje on today (Friday) for UFC’s TUF 25 Finale.
Our Hkickboxers were out in full-stride hooking up the bags to the beams including notorious wrestling champion, Greg Jones. Over 20 bags were installed for our 4,500 square feet of mats, providing ample room for an array of boxers to train. Yet again there were big names practicing at Hard Knocks 365, such as Stefan Struve. Our soft-openings have been very successful and thus far we are now only awaiting Grand Master Mario Sperry and his team to commence preparations for our grand opening.
Speaking of which, our Grand Opening is on the 17th of July at 6:00pm, Xtreme Action Park’s 2-year anniversary. Aside from the regular evening of press and hors d’oeuvre, our 3 head coaches and their teams of instructors will be giving out free clinics to present to the general public what Hard Knocks 365 is all about. This will be a great opportunity for the public to come see the facility in its finished glory and speak with the head coaches one-on-one to see which regiment is best suitable. Additionally, the event won’t be just for the fighting community. Since Xtreme Action Park is celebrating its 2-year anniversary, prominent public figures in Fort Lauderdale will be in attendance. The event is an open event for anyone to attend. Click here for the link.
Every passing day seems more surreal as our dream of bringing the world’s best fighters and athletes under one roof nears completion. Our work in progress has been a culmination of brilliant minds and innovative concepts that has never been done before in the United States. Many doubted the viability of the concept of Hard Knocks 365, but we’re breaking barriers and changing the game.
“Who’s going to let me? No. Who’s going to stop me.”
“If you don’t have a strong foundation, you have nothing”.
On Wednesday we received our full order of mats and as such we are now in the process of cutting them, fitting them, and placing them all along our designated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing sections. With over 4500 square footage of padding and mats, we’ll have ample space to accommodate classes of virtually any size. Our team got together for some Hard-Knocks-styled manual labor and laid down most of the matting. On Saturday the efforts will continue to finalize all of our functional flooring, turf and mats included. Several members of the HKickboxing family joined in, including Gilbert “Durinho” Burns.
Next came the cages. So far only 4 fences separating the fighting “ring” and turf have been installed, but there’s still more to come. Then finally came the beams that will be holding our punching bags for our Hkickboxing sessions. Over 20 of them were installed, so all of you boxers can rejoice; it’s going to be kickboxing galore in here.
Our facility is looking less and less like a construction site and more and more like a gym. But not just any gym.
